I was all set to write a post about how crappy our New Year’s Day was, what with the plumbing going out, not having a plumber out there until dark so we all hunkered down at our friends’ house with the kids because they have to come back today to try and fix whatever the problem is.
I was going to spend a lot of space bitching about it. But the universe has a way of smacking you upside the head when you get like that.
Instead, please pray for a sweet baby girl who I’ve followed via the blogosphere since she was born. She’s two now, and battling cancer. She’s just been declared in remission, but her ongoing treatment to keep her that way has landed her back in the hospital with an (as yet) unidentified infection. After being born at 25 weeks gestation, now successfully battling cancer, please pray this is just one more little speed bump for this brave girl.
Our plumbing situation? Well, it will get fixed. All it meant was last night we got to spend the evening hanging out with some good friends, eating good food, and playing with the kids. Poor us. Don’t worry about us, we’ll be fine.
Pray for Amanda.
