Well, J got her first “warning” in school today. Their teacher emailed me and explained that she was talking and was asked multiple times to stop and didn’t. Apparently it was pretty upsetting to J and her teacher explained that all kids get a warning sometimes and she wasn’t mad at her. I’m ok with the warning but a little upset by the fact that J tells the story in a way that makes it look like it was an unfair singling out for nothing. If you press her and ask her what really happened she will relent and tell the truth. Sigh. We’ve been working so hard with the truth and I know it’s typical for her age it’s just really really frustrating.
I’m very excited that my cousin is coming up and then the next week my brother and sister in law are driving up with my nephews. We’re going to have a little itty bitty baby in the house for a whole week!
J is currently standing next to me singing Feliz Navidad. It’s one of the cutest things ever.
I have a whole post brewing about the Dis.ney original shows my kids are into these days. They aren’t nearly as bad as I thought they would be.
I started re-reading book one of The Hunger Games. Reading the first book knowing the way the series goes is really much more fun then I thought it would be. I thought it might ruin things. But holy cow it simply reveals the utter genius of Suzanne Collins. If you haven’t read this book, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?
We got a three-photo preview of our holiday photo shoot from last weekend. I love them, and can’t wait to see the rest. Although there is a part of me that’s worried that she previewed the best three shots and the rest might be disappointing. I’ll share a few here once we get the CD of images.
Due to the impending visits of family, and our concerted efforts to kick all the nasty germs from our house and bodies, I am taking this weekend to knit, crochet, and do laundry. That’s it. And sleep.
