We have our first loose tooth in the house. It belongs to J, and apparently she let it go on for a few days without saying anything, so now it’s REALLY loose. I am not sure I’m ready for them to be this grown up yet.
I’m. Still. Sick. Or sick again. Baby nephew brought a really croupy cough to the house and I seem to have picked it up. It’s been over a week now and while the cough is my only symptom, it’s becoming exhausting.
My best friend from high school and I have managed to stay friends now going on 20+ years. For a long time she lived in D.C., and now she lives only an hour away. She even spent Thanksgiving with us! She’s even been there for some very important events in my life, despite our distance, and now she’s moving again and while she’ll be only 500 miles away I’m very bummed. I feel like ever since she moved back to CA we’ve rekindled our friendship and I’m really going to miss her.
Christmas was a success. Note to self, however, when purchasing an item for your child that requires extensive assembly, hire someone. Or at the very least don’t put it together with your spouse, because it will just result in excessive bickering.
I have one more crochet hat to start and finish and then I’m focusing on knitting for awhile. My goal is to do the hat this weekend so I can spend the new year focused on knitting and projects I have in mind for people already. I’m still a relatively slow knitter but my second gift project is shaping up nicely.
I can’t believe the holidays have already come and gone and the next big thing we will be planning is a birthday party for two 6 year olds. 6!!!
Happy New Year to all of you. I’m grateful to know you and hope 2012 brings you all your hearts desire.
